I’ve been following your blog for awhile now and might I say that I love Floyd, he’s such a beautiful doof. You’re blog also inspired me to get a flirtpole for my own dog (a rottie mix) and it has got to be one of the best purchases i’ve ever made. It helps him use up energy throughout the day and he absolutely loves it. Thanks for posting all of your work with your boy, and I hope you have better luck with his medical issues in the future
I think every dog owner needs to get a flirtpole for their dog. It’s such a simple, cheap, easy tool to get dogs moving. Great for dogs like mine who have that prey drive, but not so much of the drive for fetch in particular.
If you want to take your flirtpole game to the next level, attach a strip of cowhide, rabbit skin, or squirrel skin to the end!
Thank you for the well wishes, we will get to the bottom of his skin issues eventually!!
Got back from a late night walk to Tim Hortons and I didn’t bring Floyd… came back to this face in the window!!
Moping because he has to stand in the bathtub with the shampoo on for 10 mins…. his scabs/bumps are coming back but I’m able to somewhat keep them at bay by doing “spot treatments” with shampoo when they appear.
Was trying to take some cute pics of my dog for my dad.. that last one is so ugly it’s killing me, ahhahahaha
I sent this to a friend and he replied back, saying that Floyd was a “dirty bush bear”, so that’s what I call him now.
My sister was drinking from a water bottle and Floyd became fully fixated on it. He thinks every water bottle is his and he’s entitled to them all.
If you drink from any sort of bottle near him, he will sit or lay down a foot or two away from you and just stare until you’re done. Then he’ll come over and press his lips against the bottle, alternating between sitting and laying down.
I keep changing my springpole setup and this one seems to be the best design. I’ll post photos of the setup soon.
