In the spring, this entire area is about 2-3 feet deep. None of those rocks would be visible, and it’s extremely difficult to cross in waders. Some ruts and troughs can take you down another foot, and you’re going downriver!!
Along the river, there is one hole that’s about 30 feet deep, so we go way upriver and stick to the shallows.
We went in the fall, slightly early for the salmon run, but we had fun walking around in the shallow water.
