I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to post my May Barkbox yet!!!

The theme for this month is Age of The Furaoh!!
You can see we’ve been blessed by the presence of some Egyptian royalty… the handsome furaoh himself with his solid gold necklace, and the beautiful queen with her jewel-adorned golden crown.

I signed Floyd up for the 12 month BarkBox plan ($20 per month), and I liked it so much I renewed my subscription. BarkBox is a dog treat/toy/chew program that you can subscribe to and you will get a randomly themed box every month! Each box has five items in it, which are randomly selected from that month’s collection.

There are three plans but you can try out singular boxes if you’d like. All box plans have free shipping to contiguous USA, $5 shipping for outside (yes that includes Canada!)
$20.00/BarkBox for 12 months
$24.00/BarkBox for 6 months
$29.00/BarkBox for 1 month

Boxes are customizable by size/weight for a more personalized experience. There are boxes geared towards small dogs (“Small & Cute, 0-20lbs), medium-sized dogs (“Just Right”, 20-50lbs), and the box I got for Floyd, which is the large dog box (“Big & Bold", 50+lbs).
All treats are grain-free, and organic when possible, and there is even an option to choose boxes specifically picked for dogs with allergies (in these boxes, they avoid certain protein sources like chicken and beef). If your dog is a destroyer or power chewer like mine, you can contact BarkBox and have your boxes upgraded to the tougher toys for “Super Chewers”!

In this box I received:
PB & Bacon Sandwiches by Blissful Biscuit ($10.00 value)
Chewy, square-shaped treats made with peanut butter, bacon, strawberries, and honey!
Salmon Thinker by Plato’s Treats (Value unknown)
Normally in a Barkbox you’ll get two bags of treats, two toys, and a “chew” or larger treat of some sort. Not sure why, but I got two of these this month… checked the Barkbox app and it was marked down as a 2-pack.. Not sure why, but not complaining! These can be chopped/broken into multiple treats.. or stuck in a can-food-Kong and frozen.. my fave.
Slug Bug Beetle Tug by Bark & Co. ($16.00 value)
A couple squeakers in this, with T-shirt rope, crinkly wings, and tough couorduroe… courdoroy.. whatever.
The Ferocious Pharaoh by Bark & Co ($16.00 value)
Stuffed tight with a rubber squeaky ball in the middle! I love these toys because if your dog doesn’t pop them, you can use the squeaker ball for fetch!
The Treat Pyramid by Bark & Co. ($12.00 value)
Chewy, triangle-shaped treats made with lamb, chicken, and pork!
I opted out of chicken in my BarkBoxes and they emailed me to correct this. I should get another bag of treats in the mail as replacement.. gotta love that Barkbox customer service!

This month’s box came to a value of over $54.00!!!

If you have any issues with your dog’s treats or toys (say he doesn’t like a certain treat or toy at all), BarkBox will replace them every time, for free. If you want to cancel your plan, you can cancel it at any time as well with no cancellation fee.
If your dog destroys the toys, you can take a picture of it and send the photo to them to earn credits for FREE TOYS and join the Destroyer’s Club! Credits have a dollar value and you can exchange them for items from BarkShop, or you can earn free toys after reaching a certain level in the club.

This month was really interesting.. Barkbox sent out TWO boxes! I don’t know why (they didn’t explain), but I have a hunch that it had to do with last month’s issue with the Cantankerous Paint Can toy.. regardless, they sent out a duplicate of the toys/treats, with the can toy replaced with another. The replacement toy I got was this acrylic tube of blue paint!!

The theme for this month is BarkBeard’s Treasure: A Pirate’s Tail!!!

This box came with a very fancy bandana for BarkBeard to wear.

Please excuse my muddy sunroom…
In this box I received:
Anchor’s Away by Bark & Co. ($14.00 value)
A large toy composed of a tube-shaped squeaker, a t-shirt rope, and lots of stuffing! It says it has reinforced stitching, but Floyd will test that theory out.
Fish and Chips Medley by Max and BFF Bones ($12.00 value)
There’s freeze-dried whitefish pieces as well as crunchy salmon treats.. Unfortunately, many of the whitefish treats crumbled in the bag!
Full Pig Ear by Sawmill Creek Smokehouse ($5.00 value)
Self-explanatory.
Greedy Gilly ($14.00 value)
Lots of stuffing and with a large, round squeaker in the middle!
Lamb Ho! by Bark & Co. ($12.00 value)
Chewy, lamb-based sticks!

This month’s box came to a value of $57.00!!
If you include the duplicate box, this month came out to a value of $104.00!!!!

If you have any issues with your dog’s treats or toys (say he doesn’t like a certain treat or toy at all), BarkBox will replace them every time, for free. If you want to cancel your plan, you can cancel it at any time as well with no cancellation fee.

Here’s March 2018’s Barkbox theme… The Academy of Fine Arfs!
This box came with a beautiful drawing of my dog. IDK who drew this picture but I think they got it spot on.

In this box I received:
Buffalo Chew by Etta Says ($3.00 value)
I always like getting things from Etta Says. This is your standard rawhide chip stick, made of rawhide.
Painter’s Pallet Treats by Treat Simple ($8.00 value)
These are wide, flat, chewy treats. They honestly remind me of Bravecto tablets (same shape). They’re about 1.5-2" across.
Rabbit Sliders with Cranberry by Hare of The Dog ($10.00 value)
I’ve always hoped I’d eventually get these treats in a box, and I did! They’re rabbit patties and I think they’re jerky-like.
Super Vincent Van Squirrel ($16.00 value)
Vincent Van Gogh as a squirrel, complete with missing ear. The tail is great for ripping and shredding, and Floyd wasted no time in ripping the paintbrush out of his hand.
The Cantankerous Paint Can by Bark ($18.00 value)
This toy is rubber and has a hole in the top to put treats through. I really like the material of the rope and hope Barkbox adds this rope to more of their toys. Barkbox sent out an email to those of us who received this toy in our boxes to say that some dogs were ripping the caps off the ends of the ropes and trying to eat them. If our dogs were the type to do this (absolutely yes), they would send a credit to replace the cost of the can, and we can order a new toy for our dog. I ordered a “PlayActin Paddy” opossum toy because it’s just too cute.

This month’s box came to a value of $55.00!!

Here’s February 2018’s Barkbox theme… Paradise Unleashed!
This box came with a vacation pamphlet with some recipes for summer drinks for you and your dog!

In this box I received:
Beast of The Feast by Bark & Co. ($10.00 value)
I love these treats, they’re soft/chewy and shaped like pigs!
Cecil’s SeaShell by Bark & Co. ($12.00 value)
This seashell has a large squeaker, a crinkly shell, and the shell can fold up to hide treats inside the opening.
Doggie Biscotti by Sawmill Creek ($4.00 value)
A twist of dried, roasted porkhide. I like porkhide because it’s much more easily digested than rawhide.
Penny the Pineapple by Bark & Co. ($14.00 value)
LOUD!!! squeaker in this one. The leaves are crinkly as well. It’s a tie between this and the seashell in which one Floyd likes most.
Tiki Treats by Healthy Dogma ($8.00 value)
O-shaped chewy treats made with pork and pineapple!

This month’s box came to a value of $48.00!!

Here’s the first Barkbox of 2018…. January’s Barkbox theme is The Knights of The Hound Table!!
This theme came with a little paper crown that I had to tape to my dog’s head because it wouldn’t stay on. He hates my guts but was very patient.

I signed Floyd up for the 12 month BarkBox plan ($20 per month), and I recently renewed my subscription. BarkBox is a dog treat/toy/chew program that you can subscribe to and you will get a randomly themed box every month! In this box I received:
Banquet Feast by Bark & Co. ($8.00 value)
Soft, chewy treats that are turkey and honey flavour.
Friar Hogg’s Hearty Stew by Bark & Co. ($8.00 value)
Chewy stick treats flavoured like ham and veggies!
Thinkers Salmon Stick by Plato Dog Treats ($3.00 value)
A “jerky” like treat made with salmon.
Sir Chester’s Jester by Bark & Co. ($14.00 value)
Floyd’s favourite toy, it’s got a high-pitched squeaker covered in soft “fur”. I have to hear this thing all day.
Ye Olde Ball & Chain by Bark & Co. ($12.00 value)
The handle has a couple squeakers, the “chain” is made with a t-shirt rope, and the ball is a spiky squeaker ball. Before you ask, yes I have already spiked my dog with it, he absolutely loves being slapped with the spike ball.

This month’s box came to a value of $45.00!!

Here’s December 2017’s Barkbox, the theme is Dogsmas In The City!!!!!
This theme came with a cute snowglobe camera filter. I will try and update with a better pic when I can.

Over a year ago I signed Floyd up for the 12 month BarkBox plan ($20 per month), and I recently renewed my subscription. BarkBox is a dog treat/toy/chew program that you can subscribe to and you will get a randomly themed box every month! In this box I received:
Holly, Jolly, and Gabe by Bark & Co. ($14.00 value)
Definitely a favourite, each light has a spiky squeaker center and the toy makes a great thrasher. Good for hitting people with.
Piggy Twizzies by Emerald Pet ($4.00 value)
A hard, chewy extruded treat, Floyd ate this already and seemed to like it. The same company makes “Twizzies” in other flavours, this one was pork.
Seven Snacks A’Quacking by Bark & Co. ($12.00 value)
Soft, O’shaped treats. I haven’t tried these yet but they seem like they would stay together in a treat bag!
Tough Stuff Snowman by Bark & Co. ($12.00 value)
A furry “snowball” with a spiky, squeaky center. This one is LOUD and another favourite. About the size of a tennis ball.
Winter Warmer Treats by Lazy Dog ($10.00 value)
I haven’t opened the bag yet, but the description made me laugh. “Mulled vanilla maple” dog treats.

This month’s box came to a value of $52.00!!

If you have any issues with your dog’s treats or toys (say he doesn’t like a certain treat or toy at all), BarkBox will replace them every time, for free. If you want to cancel your plan, you can cancel it at any time as well with no cancellation fee.
